What is Kahuna Massage and how does it differ from a regular massage?
Hawaiian Kahuna Massage differs from traditional massage in its holistic approach, focusing on the connection between body, mind, and spirit. Unlike traditional massages, which often concentrate on isolated muscle groups, Kahuna Massage uses long, flowing strokes that cover large areas of the body. These movements are performed in rhythmic harmony, mimicking the ebb and flow of ocean waves, and are designed to promote deep relaxation, release emotional tension, and enhance energy flow. It also incorporates breathing techniques, setting intention and ancient shamanic healing practices, making it a spiritual practice as much as a physical one.
How much clothing do I remove before my massage?
We always give our clients options when it comes to modesty and comfort. Trust and safety are our highest priorities, and we want our clients and therapists to feel comfortable in the healing space. For Kahuna and Lomi Lomi massage, we are often doing long body strokes with oil, so we recommend minimal to no clothing for these treatments. We keep the important areas well covered and your privacy is our biggest priority. Polynesian bodywork is a fully clothed treatment. Your practitioner will guide you and recommend the best suggestions at the time of treatment.
What sort of oil do you use?
We use a non-allergy H2O oil with no additional essential oils or fragrances added, for the comfort and safety of all clients. The oil we use is also extremely hydrating and glides beutifully over the skin, making it the perfect choice for our Hawaiian style massage and bodywork offerings.

We absolutely love to honour our regular clients with ongoing reduced rates for weekly and fortnightly clients. Your practitioner will be happy to apply the following discounts for our regulars.
Weekly = 20%
Fortnightly = 15%
Monthly = 10%
